The way up is harder than the way down.
You both start at the bottom of the sea, slow and careful, sharing a single tank of air. Bubbles are scarce, currents tug, and every movement must be timed together as you rise toward the surface. Try it solo to manage both divers at once, or tackle the climb with a partner. The ascent is brief but tense, and every exchange matters. Created during the 2025 Global Game Jam under the theme Bubble, the team developed this short game collectively, polishing it and learning a great deal along the way.

Both players depend on one air supply. Share, plan, and preserve it as you navigate obstacles and hazards in the deep.

Each stretch of the ascent blends timing, coordination, and puzzle-solving, requiring considered movement and communication.

Stylised, colourful visuals and a calm yet tense underwater world provide an engaging backdrop for the journey.

My contribution:

-Designed and iterated on core gameplay mechanics, experimenting with multiple systems and refining them through playtesting.

-Planned and executed level, environment, and scene layouts, ensuring strong gameplay flow, visual clarity, and engaging player experiences.

-Collaborated closely with programmers and artists to ensure seamless integration of gameplay systems, assets, and visual elements.

-Conducted regular playtesting and quality assurance, identifying balance issues, bugs, and usability problems.

-Programmed independent systems in engine for both gameplay mechanics and UI systems.

-Managed design assets and version control workflows, maintaining organized project structure and resolving conflicts when needed.
